Training camp has been a blast so far! After a bunch of confusion it was actually concluded that training camp is only one week! That week is followed by a week of domestic ministry which will also be here in Georgia. Other than the porta potties, training camp has been AMAZING so far. I’m starting to love my tent and it feels like my tiny home. My teammates (4 other girls plus one leader) are absolutely amazing and after three days they are already becoming my best friends and favorite people. I am so blessed to have a group of girls that love the Lord and each other so much as we go on this race. My squad (all 22 people on my route and 4 leaders) are also so great and I absolutely love the dynamic we are all building. It already feels like one big family. Days mostly consist of squad devotion in the morning and breakfast. Followed by sessions, worship and breakouts before lunch. Lunch is then followed by more sessions and a break before dinner. But tonight was special!! Today was culture day here at training camp. We had to practice being in one culture we are going to live in. Our squads culture of the day was Thailand. Here was a list of our rules:

RULES

* COVER YOUR TATTOOS OR BE PREPARED TO EXPLAIN YOUR TATTOO. IF YOU SEE A TATTOO YOU MUST ASK

* SWATIKA : GIRLS

* SWATIKRAP : BOYS

→ MUST BOW WHEN GREETING

* STANDING UNTIL SPEAKER SAYS TO SIT

- “STANDING FOR THE KING”

* CANT SHOW BOTTOMS OF YOUR FEET BECAUSE ITS THE LOWEST PART OF BODY/ DEFILED

* NO SHORTS - MUST WEAR PANTS

It was a blast! The hardest part for me was definitely aiming my feet at people because I change seating positions frequently. Dinner time was also exciting tonight. We practiced being in an international market. Everything was chaos from distributing the money around our team, to navigating the market, trying not to get robbed, kidnapped or get run over by a car, getting food before the market closed, evangelizing people we ran into and bowing to the king. It was so much fun. And Praise God they gave us extra food after the market because we were definitely not full after our cheese and jelly sandwiches with a side of hard boiled egg we had for lunch. I can’t wait to see how God is going to continue through this week as training camp moves forward!

Prayer Requests:

*I had a slight virus coming on this trip and my throat is beginning to hurt so please pray that it is getting better not worse.

*While my soul feels filled with the spirit I am having a slight disconnect in my mind during worship, so just pray that the Holy Spirit can fill my mind and thoughts and take away distractions.

*I am now 70% funded, Praise God! Just pray that God can continue to work through peoples hearts and provide me with the rest of the funding I need.
